This stylish apartment is situated in the heart of Paris and offers a good example of modern living. Its excellent location means that many of the cities monuments, museums and shopping are within walking distance. The Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the River Seine, the Marais and the famous shopping spot - Les Halles are all within 5 or 10 minutes walk. The area immediately around the apartment is vibrant with a large selection of cafés, bistros, restaurants and bars. The nearest métro is a 1 minute walk away at Les Halles.

The apartment sleeps 4 in one double bedroom and on a fold-out sofa-bed in the living area. It has recently been renovated to a high standard and has been designed to give an "urban loft" feel. It's on the 4th floor with lift.

You enter the apartment into a long hallway, lined with shelves of records (vinyls), which links the rooms. The bedroom is immediately to your right and the living area / kitchen at the far end.

In the living area you will find a sofa which folds out into a bed comfortably sleeping 2. There is also a large coffee table and designer fridge which doubles as a bookshelf! You will also find a hi-fi with iPod dock, TV with cable channels (including BBC/CNN) and broadband internet access. The large bar which separates the living and kitchen areas serves as a communal eating area where 5 people can be seated on high bar stools.

The combined living area and kitchen are open-plan which gives the apartment a light and airy feel. A long bar separates the two spaces. There is clay tiled flooring throughout and old wooden beams adorn the ceilings.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the expected appliances including dishwasher, stove, coffee machine and toaster. A perfect space for serious cooks!

The main bedroom gives onto a quiet courtyard at the far end of the apartment. There is a double bed (4ft7, 1.40m wide) a large cupboard and a 1950s commode.

The en-suite bathroom is clean and modern with a walk-in shower, washbasin, washer/dryer and plenty of storage space.

The area is lively and has many bars and restaurants from the trendy to the traditional. You won't need to look far to eat a good meal or enjoy the best bars Paris has to offer. Try the Brasserie Pierrot (18 rue Etienne Marcel) with its traditional south-west France cuisine or Pesto Fresco (14 rue Montmartre), considered the best pasta restaurant in Paris. Make sure you reserve to avoid disappointment!
