This 4 bedroom apartment has all the charm and artistic colour that one would expect from a property located in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Indeed the Pantheon, the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg Park are virtually at you doorstep. The vibrant, academic and historic atmosphere that makes up the 5th arrondissement are all reflected within the decoration of the apartment. The nearest métro, Luxembourg, is a 2 minute walk away.

The building dates back to 1783, before the French revolution, and is situated on the boundary of Lutéce (old Paris). It is owned by an opera singer who has decorated the apartment immaculately with the idea of giving each room its individual character. You will find hints of Italy, Sweden and of course Paris! Buildings from this period were built with thick walls and the apartment boasts double windows both keeping out noise and leaving the property cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

It is situated on the 2nd floor (with lift) and sleeps 7 comfortably in three double bedrooms and a single room. There is one bathroom.

One enters the apartment into a very large hall, typical of the period, which also serves as the dining room. Here you will find a dining table that easily seats 12 people but is normally positioned to seat 6. There is also a large antique screen and a 2 person sofa.

The living area has a myriad of paintings on the walls and boasts an open wood fire. There is a mix of old and contemporary furniture and it has the added plus of a piano for the musicians amongst you! There is a large 4 person designer sofa a Meridienne chair (chaise longue), a wooden chair, large coffee table, a large flat-screen TV (with English speaking CNN, BBC channels) and a hi-fi music system.

Broadband wifi access is available throughout the apartment.

The kitchen has all the expected appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, gas hobs, electric oven, fridge freezer. You will also find a washing machine and dryer. There is a breakfast table that comfortably seats 4.

The main bedroom has a large double bed (5ft3, 160cm wide), an antique Korean chest, 2 bedside tables with lights, a library and lots of storage space.

The second bedroom/office has a large fold out double sofa (5ft3, 160cm wide), Don't be put off by this as it is a top-of-the-range designer sofa with a real mattress, arguably more comfortable than a bed!

Being in a separate room one has the option of leaving the sofa in permanent "bed mode". There is also Korean coffre, a "stressless" armchair and a kidney-shaped make up table.

The third bedroom has a mezzanine offering space to put a desk whilst the double bed (5ft3, 160cm wide is located up a small flight of stairs. There is also plenty of storage space.

The fourth bedroom has a single bed , a large cupboard and a desk.

The bathroom has a large bathtub with overhead power shower and a hand basin. There is a separate loo just next door.

Being deep inside the Latin Quarter, the choice of bars restaurants and pubs is unbeatable. For all your grocery needs the markets of rue Mouffetard are a few minutes walk away where you will find fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and fish, quality boulangeries, cheesmongers and wine shops.
